Task Entry

Menu Location: Main > Tables > Tasks > Task Entry

1. Task # - this field auto-populates
2. Requested By - name of person requesting task
3. Task Type - type of task (user-defined types)
4. Category - used to categorize tasks (user-defined categories)
5. Description - short (high level) description of request
6. Long Description - details for the task request
7. Status - user-defined
8. Contact Info - company, if applicable, or person
9. Assigned To - person responsible for resolving task request
10. Assigned Group - group (predefined), if not a single person
11. Task Coordinator - person coordinating task with customer upon completion of work if different from Assigned To
12. Assigned Contract - contract number, if task request applies to a contract
13. Est Hours - estimated time to complete this task
14. Total Hours - auto-populates by summing all worklogs related to task
15. Total Est Hours - total estimated hours of main task plus estimated hours of all sub tasks
16. Submitted Date - auto-populates to current date/time
17. Target Date - goal date to complete task
18. Start Date - date to start task
19. Due Date - date task must be completed by
20. Completed Date - upon clicking Mark Complete button, auto-populates date/time
21. Cancelled Date - upon clicking Cancel Task button, auto-populates date/time
22. Parent Tasks - shows parent task when there are sub tasks
23. Sub Tasks - shows all sub tasks when on the parent task record
24. Project - denotes task and sub tasks (if any) as a project and will display on the Task View Dashboard when Projects is selected

Buttons (Main Tab)

• Opens the Task View Dashboard

• Appointment View

• Opens the Appointment View Dashboard

• Work Log View

• Opens the Work Log View Dashboard

• Create Link

• Creates a link between the task and another Object

• Add Hours

• Creates a Time Card Entry record for 1 hour (rounds to nearest time in quarter hour increments)

• 15 Min

• Creates a Time Card Entry record for 15 minutes (rounds to nearest 15-minute increment)

• 30 Min

• Creates a Time Card Entry record for 30 minutes (rounds to nearest 30-minute increment)

• 45 Min

• Creates a Time Card Entry record for 45 minutes (rounds to nearest 45-minute increment)

• 1 Hour

• Creates a Time Card Entry record for 1 hour (rounds to nearest hour increment)

• 2 hours

• Creates a Time Card entry record for 2 hours (rounds to nearest 2-hour increment)

• Add SubTask
• Link SubTask
